Sudden Delight!

Photos are beautiful things! They transport us to distant places, different phases of life and conjure up memories from the past. They're like great songs, reminding us of lost loves, heartbreak, passion and joy. In life I'm generally a very organized and neat person. Actually obsessively neat. But these traits are lost when it comes to photo organization. They aren't labeled properly on my laptop and I can never find anything. Usually it's a headache but sometimes you stumble upon a treasure like this photo, taken at a hole in the wall bar in Budapest last April.

The entire bar was covered with business cards and hand-written notes. Talented local musicians were playing American metal music and you could eat peanuts and throw shells on the floor. Delicious, cheap beer. It was a great night. And I left my business card and own personal note - "Tonight the world begins again" - on the wall. It was a promise to myself to keep exploring, traveling and learning. And I've done a pretty good job of it since then, going on many interesting trips in the past year. It also was a reminder to never lose site of passions in life, because you never know when life or good health will be taken from you. Enjoy it while you can. One day I hope to return to Budapest to visit this wonderful bar, and my note, again.

Next week we'll journey back to Russia and I'll share reports on Moscow and Peterhof. Until then, I wish everyone a very pleasant and relaxing weekend!

I love Hungarian, they are so creative, funny and warm people. I used to know a lot of them in soviet time Moscow in my uni. My dream is to visit Hungary sometimes

I was with a local Hungarian, she took us to this bar. A lovely woman! Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to see Budapest but hopefully I can return and visit more remote places. I hope you have the opportunity to visit the country one day. The Hungarian Parliament building is one of the most beautiful government buildings I've seen.

I didn't know it was a Russian word! Never seen or heard it. And I didn't need a translator to write "Что? я не понимаю." It's one of the first phrases we learned in my Russian classes. :))

That it hangs from the ceiling? Strange impression. I saw debris on the floor, but it looks like garbage on the ceiling.))))

Garbage? :) Nope, beautiful love notes and other written words I couldn't understand because they were written in Hungarian.

Of course, I realize that it was made for beauty and positive.)))) But it looks really funny.))))

I have never been to Budapest. I know it's very nice and old city.
And you are right - we must appreciate each moment of our life because our life is too short...
Enjoy your weekend!
