Guess the country!

1229774_900

Without going to Google images, or some other tricky investigative tool. Just based on pure instinct. :) This country has the most romantic balconies that I've seen in all my travels, even if the outside of the building is complete rubbish! Flowers, plants and vines twisting around iron structures or cascading down to greet you in walking paths or courtyards. Where is it? I will update the post with the answer tomorrow at 19:00 Moscow time. :)

Guesses must be based on instinct alone, not through detective or technical means. :)

The street sign is in English, but the air conditioner units are European type, not common in US/Canada. Architecture is definitely neoclassical, possibly colonial. Looks like South Europe (Greece, remote Italy regions, Turkey etc.), South America and Carribean. Stone-built which is rare in US/Canada. Roofs look flat, so likely no heavy snowfall in winter. Building is covered in sooth and not very well maintained, second story is added later without much regard to the looks. Some windows are still wood, while others are plastic. Walls have remains of paper ads glued directly to the walls, so not a very clean and orderly culture. Street lamp looks really old, not a stylized replica, bulb inside is broken or twisted. Lots of plants, so not a cold climate, which excludes Eastern Europe which could be this delapidated. Lots of mold so the climate is damp. If the street sign is not a fluke and the country is English-speaking (so not Cuba or any Spanish or Portugese coloinies), it excludes Mexico and South America and most of the Carribean. So my bet is that it's a former British colony of some sort: maybe Jamaica or Barbados, or something similar. Also, unless the street us one-way, the street sign is oriented for a left-sided traffic like in UK and most British colonies.

Come to think of it, New Zealand also might fit into those criteria. Australia is probably too hot and dry, but I haven't been to that part of the world so hard to say...

The sign is in English, but architecture looks Mediterranean. Gibraltar?

Several people guessed the Mediterranean region, but this is wrong. :)

Happy B-Day, anyway, you presented a great pictures of you :)
My first guess was Baku...due to one famous soviet movie... Hollywood should have stolen it.... I am surprised it did not, it could be a great hit. Guess which one.
On image - it's non american road sign - no parking. It could be on the left side if this is one-way-road, so it may not be UK... It is humid and warm place. The gutters are flat and boxy - it may be not in Russia or former SSSR or recently replaced. There are some traces of removed "wild" notes or adds on the wall, definitely SSSR. Erevan may be...

My birthday was in February. :)) I only found the time now to do that photo shoot, and I hate taking photos in the blazing heat of summer. But glad you liked them. Not Yerevan, but close. :) What is the Soviet film? I do not know many of them...

I am a little bit off topic - just wanted to say that your previous post with the photoshoot is great! Your smile is very charming =)
And I didn`t know you have a tiny tattoo! What does it mean to you, if I may ask?
As for the country- I think it may be Ireland =)

Thanks a lot! I have two tattoos. The tiny one on my shoulder is a peace sign, which I got several decades ago during university. Its meaning is quite simple - I am an advocate for peace, understanding, harmony and union between humanis and countries - not division. :) Something like in John Lennon's song "Imagine." Ireland - this is the wrong answer. :)
